Spinning beats at #patiofriday in Toronto this Friday evening!

This time round we're bringing the #patiofriday vibes to People Downtown's monthly @ Tequila Bookworm!  For those who dunno, #patiofriday is a weekly meetup of folks in the technology/media/advertising sector that was initiated last year.

So, finish up the week of work and then head over to come join us for special live sundowner DJ sets and beats into the night.

(A track I put together in 2008 and never released till now)

#hohoto winter 2009

A few weeks back I dropped some impromptu beats with my co-conspirator from People Downtown, a one mr Nathan Lee, at a fund-raiser organised solely through the interwebs for the Toronto Daily Bread Food Bank called #hohoto- it ws a smashing success and raised near $50,000 in one single night!

Cheers to Hyfen for the shot!

Syncing Ableton Live with Resolume; single MIDI clock AV goodness!

I'm terribly excited to spend some time this winter working on some new AV performances that feature fully-synced audio and video clips (got some groovy live film remix concepts I'm working on) using both Ableton Live and Resolume 3x at the same time!

Listen: Salt Satyagraha by Abdul Smooth & DJ Spooky

Here's the new track I did with DJ Spooky, which is out on his new album the Secret Song:

Salt Satyagraha by DJ Spooky & Abdul Smooth by indianelectronica

My track with DJ Spooky, Salt Satyagraha is now available on The Secret Song

DJ Spooky's new album and DVD, the Secret Song, is now available for purchase in stores and online.  Its an amazing listening experience that brings together diverse artists such as myself (check Salt Satyagraha, which I co-produced with Spooky - track 16), Vijey Iyer, Thurston Moore (of the Sonic Youth), the Jungle Brothers, Rob Swift, Sussan Deyhim and many more.
